How To Ace Your H2 Physics

December 11, 2018

H2 Physics is probably one of the hardest subjects that you can take as an A-level student. But even so, it’s not that difficult to learn, and not impossible to ace.
You don’t need to have above-average intelligence to hit high scores on your H2 physics. You just need to know how to study effectively as they always say, study smarter not harder.
Below, we have prepared a list of tips to help you get high marks for H2 Physics.

1.    Double-Check and Read Carefully

With physics, you can never be too careful. You should always double-check every question if not check it thrice. To come up the right answer, you have to make sure that you fully understand what the question is about.
Having said that, it should go without saying that you should never jump to conclusions.
Finally, you might want to check your answers as well – you could lose marks by being careless and forgetting to convert a unit, or placing a decimal point at the wrong place.

2.    Find Out What Helps You Learn Best

Everyone learns differently and it depends on the type of learner you are. Some people are visual learners and can learn much better by reading something. If that’s the case with you, then you may want to make flashcards to make it easier for you to remember certain formulas and more.
On the other hand, if you are more of an auditory learner, you may want to record yourself reading notes out loud to play back later. Regardless of the type of learner you are, what is important is that you are comfortable with the method that you chose.
It’s going to be much easier for you to retain any of the knowledge that you just learned if you know which kind of method helps you study best.

3.    Remember the Equations

If you’re getting H2 physics tuition, then you’ll soon learn from your tutor just how important remembering the right equations are. What’s more, in actual truth, your knowledge of the right equations could very be the difference between barely passing and getting a high mark.
Learn which equations to use and when. The more certain you are about your knowledge regarding equations, the better.
Remember, in Physics, equations are everything; you won’t be able to solve the problem at hand if you don’t know the right type of equation to use.

4.    Practice

A straightforward advice, but an extremely useful one.
The only way to get high marks in your H2 physics, or well, for any level of physics for that matter, is to keep on practicing what you just learned. The more you drill the equations and problems into your head, the better you’ll get at the subject.
If you’re a social learner, you can try learning with and teaching others. This way, you can not only better understand the topic but also acquire even more knowledge from others.
H2 physics will only get difficult as you delve deeper into the subject, and the subject, in general, will only get more complicated. But, if you follow these tips and keep on practicing, even the most difficult problems will start opening up to you and you’ll eventually hit that high mark you’ve always wanted.
